Chilli Baby Corn

About the Recipe

The baby corn can be steamed, fried, or boiled and added to different dishes. Baby corn provides nutrients that are high in vitamins and extremely low in glycemic index. This recipe shows how to make healthy and tasty chilli baby corn. Use Oddy Ecobake ,which are reusable and chlorine to make oil-free baby corn fries.

Ingredients

 

  • Baby corn- 1 pack (200 g) & Black pepper powder- ½ tsp+1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour-1 tbsp, Salt-1 tsp, Water & Olive oil- 1tbsp
  • Ginger garlic minced-1 tbsp & Spring onion whites - 1/2 cup
  • Onion 1 small- sliced & Capsicum 1 medium –sliced
  • Vinegar-1 tsp, Red chilli sauce- 1tsp & Soya sauce-1 tsp
  • Tomato sauce-1 tsp, Sugar-1 tsp & ½ cup water +1/2 tsp corn flour
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Boil cut baby corn in boiling water with salt for 5–7 minutes. After removing it from the water, slice it as shown. Add corn flour, black pepper powder, and salt to them and mix with very little water. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
  • As shown, punch the Oddy Ecobake. Line the air fryer basket with it. Transfer the baby corn pieces into it and air fry for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, grease them with a little oil and air fry again. The crispy baby corns are ready. Heat the olive oil.
  • Add ginger and garlic, onions, spring onions, and capsicum, and stir well. Then add salt, black pepper powder, all sauces, vinegar, and corn starch slurry. Lastly, add sugar to balance all tastes. Add the fried baby corn to it and stir well. Garnish with spring onion greens. The chilli baby corn is ready.
