Dahi Bread Rolls

About the Recipe

Dahi bread rolls is one of the popular deep fried street food in North India especially in Punjab and Delhi State. Deeply fried bread with a stuffing of hung curd, veggies and spices; this dish is a sure hit for snacks with tea. A crispy and porous outer layer combined with a soft and juicy stuffing makes for a perfect evening snack. Use Oddy Ecobake to roll the bread thinly.



  • Oddy Ecobake
  • 1 cup hung curd [ from 400 g curd]
  • 50 –100 g paneer
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • ¼ cup finely chopped cabbage
  • ¼ cup chopped French beans
  • ½ cup finely chopped capsicum
  • ¼ tsp dry ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp sugar ½ cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Bread slice
  • Green chutney
  • Tomato sauce



  • In a bowl take hung curd. Add grated panner, chilli flakes, cabbage, French beans, capsicum, dry ginger powder, black pepper powder, salt, sugar, coriander leaves, and mix well. In a bowl add all-purpose flour and water to make a slurry mixture. Take bread slices and cut the edges with a knife.
  • Take Oddy Ecobake and place our bread piece on it. Oddy Ecobake is non-sticky and grease-proof, perfect for cooking and baking purpose. Tap a little water on the bread with your hands and roll it thinly with a rolling pin.
  • Add the stuffing in the rolled bread. Add the slurry on the four sides of the bread slice. Now fold the bread diagonally and press it on the edges. Roll the bread with Oddy Ecobake to form a nice cylindrical shape for the bread. Repeat the process for other breads as well.
  • Heat oil on a kadai and once it is hot, add our bread rolls in it. Cook the bread rolls in medium flame. Make sure all the sides are cooked properly. Our Dahi bread rolls are ready. Serve it with chutney and sauce.
