If your child loves street side food then you should be a little worried. A great alternative is to make that food at home with the all the healthy ingredients. Kids love to see different food items in their lunch box. Here is a street food recipe packed with protein.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 eggs
  • Chopped coriander
  • Chopped green chilies
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Red chili powder
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Kneaded dough
  • Non-stick pan
  • Ghee

METHOD

Make a round ball of dough and roll it flat with a rolling pin. Placing the non-stick pan over the gas and grease it with ghee. Crack the eggs and add chopped coriander, green chilies, onions, tomatoes, and all the condiments. Beat the mixture well. Now, place the flat dough chapatti on the non-stick pan. Let it cook from one side.

Now, with the help of a knife, make a slight cut at the edge and create a pocket, like pita pockets. Now, pour the mixture of egg and keep it sealed with a spatula. Let it cook on one side on slow heat. Carefully flip the roti in a way so that the mixture does not spill out. Cook evenly on both sides till the inside egg mixture is hard. Remove it from the pan and cut it with a pizza cutter or knife. Wrap it up and pack it in the lunch. Now, just wait till your kids come home and shower you with praises.
