Happy Anniversary Cake With Dutch Cocoa Powder

Make this anniversary cake with a new flavor. Here we have used Dutch cocoa powder to make the cake and frosting. Ecobake cooking paper circles help to get the perfect shape for your cake without any greasing, and there is no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Sugar – ½ cup + 2 tbsp &Curd – 1/3rd cup
  • Milk – 3 tbsp, Maida – 1 cup & Milk powder – 2 tbsp
  • Dutch processed cocoa – ¼ cup & Baking powder -1 tbsp
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp & Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped chocolate – 1 cup & Milk – 5 tbps
  • Butter – 1 tbsp & Chilled whipping cream – 1.5 cups
  • Pink and green food gel & Silver balls and silver sprinkles

Directions

 

  • Prepare the cake batter by mixing the dry ingredients and wet ingredients together. Transfer the cake batter into a mould lined with an Ecobake cooking paper circle.
  • Preheat the oven for 10 minutes and bake the cake for 30 minutes at 160 °C. Once the cake is baked and cooled, divide it into 3 equal parts to frost the cake.
  • Place the first layer on the cake board, soak it with sugar syrup, and frost it with Dutch cream (1.2 cups chocolate ganache + 1.5 cups whipping cream).
  • Repeat the same with the other two layers of the cake and crumb coat the cake with Dutch cake. Then frost the cake completely with whipping cream.
  • Remove the extras with a spatula and make a wavy pattern on the sides of the cake as shown. Decorate the sides of the cake with pink cream using a small star-shaped nozzle.
  • Make a leaf pattern on the roses using the leaf nozzle and place a happy anniversary board at the centre of the cake. Garnish the cake with silver balls and silver sprinkles.
