Jawar Tart Gajar Halwa is a unique and delightful variation of the traditional Indian dessert, Gajar Halwa. The infusion of jawar (sorghum) flour adds a distinctive twist to this classic treat. Oddy Ecobake helps bake the jawar tart in an oven with no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

  • Jowar flour-1/2 cup & Almond flour- 1/4 cup
  • Ghee- 2 tbsps, Milk to knead, dry nuts - 1/2 cup
  • 1 kg carrot, 1/2 ltr milk & Oddy Ecobake
  • 3 sp fresh cream & 1 cup ghee
  • 2 cup sugar & 1 sp cardamon nutmeg powder

Directions

  • Mix almond flour, jawar flour, ghee, and milk together to form a dough. Take one portion of the dough and give it the shape of a bowl by placing it on a bowl.
  • Place Oddy Ecobake on the bowl-shaped jawar dough with some seeds or chana on it. Repeat the same process for the other portion of the dough.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C for 10 minutes. Bake the jawar tart in the oven for 18 minutes at 170 °C. To make the gajar halwa, take a pan and add ghee to it.
  • Add the grated carrot to the pan and sauté well. Add milk and sugar to the carrot mixture and give them a good mix. Add nutmeg powder and nuts of your choice to the halwa. Fill the halwa in the jawar tart and enjoy!
