Kale Chane Ke Kebab

About the Recipe

Kale chane ke kebab is a protein-rich snack recipe made from soaked and cooked chickpeas and ground along with spices into cutlets. It can be made on a tawa or in an air fryer. If you are so conscious of your health or are on a diet, then you can line the air fryer basket with Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners, which give you kebabs that are oil-free and healthy.

Ingredients

 

  • Black chickpeas/Kale chane-1.5 cups & Ginger- 1 inch
  • Garlic-6 & Green chilli-1
  • Tomato-2 & Salt-1.5 tsp +1/2 tsp
  • Bread -2 & Garam masala
  • Cinnamon powder & Water
  • Chopped onion & Coriander
  • Oil & Ghee
  • Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners.

Directions

 

  • Soak chane overnight, wash it, and drain the water from it. Cook it along with ginger, garlic, green chili, tomato, and salt for 2–3 whistles and then on a low flame for 30 minutes.
  • Drain the water from it and remove the tomato skin. Coarsely grind the cooked chena. Add bread crumbs, salt, cinnamon powder, and garam masala to the ground mixture and mix with a little water.
  • Add the chopped onions and coriander and mix well. Make them into cutlets or kebabs as shown.
  • Line an air fryer basket with Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners. Place the kebabs in the air fryer and grease them with oil or ghee on both sides.
  • Air fry the kebab for 20 minutes. You can either deep-fry on a tawa or bake. Serve it with green chutney.
