Khasta Samosa

An all-time favorite snack for Indians, Samosa, best when served with tea. We all have a shop nearby which is famous for their Samosa, well this is time to try making your own. This recipe is special because we are not going to fry these samosas, so even people who tend to ignore oily things can enjoy this amazing recipe.

Ingredients

For Dough

  • 1 cup maida
  • 1 tbsp semolina
  • ½ tsp ajwain
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Water as required

Ingredients

For Stuffing

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp ginger chilli paste
  • 8 to 10 curry leaves
  • ½ cup chopped Coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp of black salt
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric
  • ¼ tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp of chaat masala
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder
  • ½ cup boiled peas
  • 3 Boiled potatoes

Directions

 

  • Take 1 tbsp in a pan, start heating on low flame. Add 1 tsp of coriander seeds, fennel seeds and cumin seeds to it. Roast them a little.
  • Add some curry leaves and ginger chili paste, add chopped coriander and roast for sometime.
  • Add salt as per taste and other 6 masalas in given quantity to the pan along with ½ cup of boiled peas and mix them well. Add 3 crumbled boiled potatoes to it and mix properly. After roasting for some time, take it off the flame and let it cool.
  • Meanwhile, to prepare dough, take a mixing bowl and add 1 cup of maida , 1 tbsp semolina, ½ tsp ajwain, salt as per taste and 3 tbsp ghee to it. Mix them properly using your hand, while adding water gradually.
  • Cut the chapati in 2 parts, take one and fold it into the shape of a cone using your hand, as shown in the video.
  • Add stuffing into the hollow cone and seal it as shown. Similarly make other samosas as well
  • Line your air fryer tray with Oddy Ecobake non-stick liner. Preheat your air fryer on 170 degrees for 10 mins. Air fry the samosa for 10 mins at 170 degrees. After 10 mins flip the samosas and turn up the temp upto 200 degrees and air fry for 10 mins.
  • After 20 mins, take them out, and your crispy & healthy samosas are ready to serve
