Tasty Kothimbeer Vada

About the Recipe

Kothimbeer vada is a tasty Maharashtrian breakfast recipe. It is very flavorful and tasty and will be loved by both adults and kids. Oddy Ecobake perforated liner is used to steam the kothimbeer vada batter in a kadai without the need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup besan & 3 tbsp rice flour
  • 2 cup chopped coriander leaves & 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1/4 tsp ajwain & 1 tbsp ginger chilli paste
  • Salt, 1/2 tsp garam masala & 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder & 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp lemon juice & 2 tbsp oil
  • Water - 3 to 4 tbsp, Pinch of soda & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Mix all the ingredients with water to prepare the dough. Take a steaming plate lined with an Oddy Ecobake perforated liner. Divide the dough into two parts.
  • Shape them into two squares by placing them on the steaming plate. Steam the dough for 10 minutes by keeping it in a kadai with boiling water.
  • Once the kothimbeer vada is cooked, cut it into small pieces of the desired shape. Fry these pieces in hot oil to prepare crispy kothimbeer vada.
