Trending Standing Selfie Mirror Cake

While baking, line the cake tin with Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles, they come in pre-cut sizes and are easy to use while baking and cooking. For mirror work, use Oddy Ecobake for clean finishing.

Ingredients

 

  • 6-inch cake tin
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles & Oddy Ecobake
  • 250 ml (170 gm) chocolate premix , 1.5 tbsp oil
  • water as required & 250 ml whipped cream
  • Sugar syrup (1/2 cup water, 4 tbsp sugar & 1/4 tsp chocolate essence)
  • strawberry crush and grated dark chocolate
  • N46 nozzle, acrylic mirror, two ice cream sticks, cello tape & 8-10 cherries

Directions

 

  • Take a 6-inch cake tin, and line it with Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles. In a mixing bowl, take 250 ml (170 gm) chocolate premix and add water gradually as required. Mix well. Add 1.5 tbsp oil and again mix well to form a smooth cake batter.
  • Pour the batter into the cake tin. Bake it in a deep bottom vessel with a stand inside on a gas on low flame for 40-45 mins. After 45 mins, check with a toothpick if the cake is baked or not. Allow it to cool and cut the cake into three layers.
  • On the cake board, spread a little cream and place one layer of the cake. Soak it with a sugar syrup mixture (1/2 cup water, 4 tbsp sugar, and 1/4 tsp chocolate essence).
  • Take white whipped cream in a piping bag and spread it on the cake layer evenly. Add a layer of strawberry crush and grated dark chocolate. Next, add the topmost part of the cake, and apply sugar syrup, cream, strawberry crush, and grated dark chocolate.
  • Place the last layer and apply sugar syrup and crumb-coat it with cream. Then apply a last layer of cream again with a piping bag. Even and smoothen the cake sides and top surface properly with a flat card.
  • Next, apply grated chocolate on the sides. With an N46 nozzle, make roses on the top edges of the cake. With the same nozzle make a border on the base of the cake. Spread grated chocolate in the center part of the cake.
  • Next, take an acrylic mirror. Place it on Oddy Ecobake. Stick two ice cream sticks firmly secured on the back side of the mirror with cello tape. The sticks half part should be on the mirror and another half outside.
  • Conceal the side of the sticks with Oddy Ecobake. On the front side of the mirror with a piping bag and N46 nozzle, make the small flower design on the edges. Place some cut cherries on the design. With a piping bag write the name of the person. 
  • Now gently and carefully hold the mirror in one hand and place it on the cake in a standing position. Place cherries on the cream border of the cake. Standing Mirror Selfie Black Forest Cake is ready.
