Ingredients

  • Milk - 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp ( 140 ml ) & Vinegar - 1tsp
  • Coffee Powder - 1 tsp & Hot Water - 1.5 tbsp ( To Make coffee concoction)
  • Oil - 1/4 cup ( 60 ml ) & Sugar - 1/2 cup & 2 tbsp( 120 gm )
  • All Purpose Flour - 1 cup ( 130 gm ) & Cocoa Powder - 1/4 cup (20 gm )
  • Baking Powder - 1tsp & Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Cream - 1 +1/4 cups (310 ml) for frosting
  • Milk Chocolate - 80 gm & Cream - 1/4 cup (for chocolate ganache)

Directions

  • To prepare butter milk, add white vinegar to warm milk, mix well, and let it rest for some time. To prepare, coffee concoction, add 1 tsp of coffee powder to hot water and stir well.
  • Pre-heat the vessel on the stove before placing the cake mould with batter in it. To prepare the batter, add the other wet ingredients and sieve the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, combining well.
  • Add 2 tbsp of milk to adjust the consistency of the batter. Transfer the batter into a cake mould lined with Ecobake cooking paper circles. Place the cake mould in the preheated vessel and bake it for 50 min.
  • Once the cake is completely baked, switch off the stove and let it cool down. Trim the upper layer of the cake and cut the cake into three equal parts. Using a small lid, cut each layer into three different sizes such that one layer is smaller than the other.
  • Place the smallest layer at the bottom, the medium-sized layer in the middle, and the largest one on the top. Frost each cake layer by soaking it in sugar syrup, then applying whipped cream and topping it with chocolate ganache.
  • Crumb coat the cake with the white whipped cream and layer the frosting with a spatula. Take a stiff end plastic cover and smooth the cake with it to get the shape of a coffee mug.
  • Now take cake crumbs, add some chocolate ganache, mix well, and roll out into the shape of a sausage. Use this to make the cake’s handle by inserting toothpicks at the top and bottom.
  • Take the remaining cake crumbs and roll them out into the shape of a sausage, then cut into small pieces.  Use these pieces to make coffee beans. Scrape out some cream from the inner part of the cake to fill out the chocolate ganache. This will make it look like the cup is filled with coffee.
  • Attach the cup’s handle after freezing it. Paste a café coffee day symbol. Arrange the coffee seeds made with cake crumbs and your cake is ready to be served.
