Urad Dal Vada

About the Recipe

One of the easy South Indian recipes is urad dal vada, which is good with sambar and coconut chutney. Simple ingredients found in any Indian grocery are needed for this dish. You may easily make properly shaped vadas with the aid of Oddy Ecobake.

Ingredients

 

  • Urad dal - 1 cup, water & Salt
  • Black pepper - 10 to 15 & Curry leaves
  • Green chillies - 4 & Ginger - 1 inch
  • Oddy Ecobake & Oil for frying

Directions

 

  • Soak urad dal in water for 1 to 2 hours. Drain the excess water and grind the urad dal into a thick batter.
  • Add crushed black pepper, curry leaves, ginger, salt, and green chilies to the batter and mix well.
  • Take a small portion of the batter and flatten it using the Oddy Ecobake as shown.
  • Fry the urad dal fritters in hot oil until they turn golden brown. Your urad dal vadas are ready!
