Bakery Style Rainbow Cake

About the Recipe

Making and serving a cake this much fun will make you feel great. And to make this rainbow cake, you don’t need to be a pastry expert. You can bake the cake with Oddy Ecobake without using oil or butter to grease the mold. There is therefore no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • Milk - 250 ml & Vinegar or lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup & Oil - 1/3rd cup
  • Vanilla essence - 1.5 tbsp & Maida - 1.5 cups
  • Milk powder - 1/4 cup & Baking powder - 1.5 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp & Chilled whipping cream - 1.5 cups
  • Yellow, blue, red, green, pink and purple food gel
  • Condensed milk - 1/3rd cup & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Prepare buttermilk by mixing vinegar with milk. Add the other wet ingredients to the buttermilk and mix well. Sift the dry ingredients over the wet ingredients and mix well to prepare the cake batter.
  • Separate the cake batter into six parts by transferring them into five bowls, as shown. Add yellow, pink, red, blue, green, and purple food colors to each bowl to prepare the respective color batters.
  • Take a 6-inch cake mold lined with Oddy Ecobake. Transfer each cake batter into the mold without mixing them with each other, as shown. Bake the cake for 50 minutes in a preheated vessel.
  • Once the cake is baked and cooled, divide it into four parts. Beat whipping cream and condensed milk in a bowl to prepare the frosting. Frost the cake as described with the whipping cream.
  • Mark a cloud shape on the sides of the cake with a bottle cap, as shown. Make rainbows with orange, yellow, green, and purple cream as described with a small star-shaped nozzle.
  • Make clouds with whipped cream and an O-shaped nozzle at the start of each rainbow. Fill all colors of whipped cream into a piping bag with a 1 M nozzle.
  • Make rosettes on the cake as shown with rainbow cream. Decorate the cake with golden and silver sugar balls. Place a fondant rainbow and "Happy Birthday" tag at the center of the cake.
