Bread Barfi

About the Recipe

It is made by powdering the bread and roasting in ghee. No one will guess this barfi is made from bread until you tell them. A very sweet and tasty dessert made in just a few minutes. Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Tray is used to set the barfi mixture. Try this barfi recipe at home. You can use Oddy Uniwraps to pack and store the barfi for many days.

Ingredients

 

  • Bread cut into pieces
  • 1 ½ tsp ghee
  • Raisins 2-3 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts 2-3 tbsp
  • Milk 20 gms
  • 4-6 tbsp Sugar
  • Red food color
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Tray
  • Oddy Ecobake Brown

Directions

 

  • In a mixer add cut bread pieces and make in into a coarse powder. In a heavy bottom kadai add some ghee and roast cashew and raisins. Add our bread crumbs and roast in till you get a nice golden colour.
  • Add a little milk and sugar and keep on stirring the mixture. Add red food colour and keep stirring till the barfi mixture leaves the kadai. Add some more ghee and mix for another 3-5 mins.
  • Now in a plate grease some oil and place Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Tray and add the barfi mixture. Pat it flatly with a spatula to form an even base. Cut the barfi into equal shapes and garnish with grated cashew nuts.
  • Keep the barfi in refrigerator for 3 hours to set completely. You can also store the barfis in Oddy Uniwraps to keep it fresh for longer. Enjoy this unique bread barfi with your friends and family.
