Complete Vanilla Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup = 240 ml

  • 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1.5 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 6 tbsp unflavored oil
  • 1.2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1+1/4 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 4 Tbsp Milk Powder
  • 1+1/4 tsp baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 400 ml Whipping Cream
  • creamy filling

Directions

 

  • Take a mixing bowl, add ¾ cups or 180 ml of milk, ⅕ tbsp vinegar, mix them well and let it rest for 5-7 mins. Meanwhile preheat a pan with a wire stand in it, on low medium flame for 10 mins.
  • In the same mixing bowl, add 1 cup of powdered sugar, 6 tbsp oil, 1 ¼ tsp vanilla essence and mix them well. Using a sieve strain 1 ¼ cup of all purpose flour, 4 tbsp milk powder, 1 ¼ tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp baking soda into the bowl and mix the wet and dry ingredients well to make a smooth batter.
  • Transfer the batter into the cake tin lined with Oddy Ecobake Baking and Cooking Paper, and give it a tap to remove all the trapped air in between and bake it on low flame for 45-50 mins.
  • Take a bowl and add 400 ml of whipping cream to it, beat it using a beater or by hand till it gets stiff. Divide the cake into three layers and place one layer on a cake border plate, soak it with sugar syrup and coat it with whipped cream, and spread 2 tbsp condensed milk on it.
  • Similarly add another two layers following the same process and finally crumb coat the cake and smoothen it using a cake card.
  • In a separate bowl take 1 spatula whipped cream and add 2-3 drops of turquoise gel food color, mix it. Transfer it into a 120M nozzle piping bag.
  • Using this piping bag make petals on the outer edge of the cake, as shown in the video.After that make another layer of petals on the inside.
  • Take remaining blue cream and add some plain whipped cream in it to get a light shade of the previous one. Transfer it into the same piping bag and make the two layers of petals on the inside, as shown in the video.
  • Again, take remaining cream and add some plain whipped cream to get an even lighter version and make the final two layers of petals on the inside.
  • Put some golden balls in the middle and use the leftover cream to make similar petals on the bottom of the cake.
