Easy Coriander Wadi

About the Recipe

A crispy wadi with freshly added coriander leaves. Coriander leaves as a base, this wadi has an authentic flavor of coriander and spices. Have it as a snack or for breakfast to make a healthier choice. Health-conscious people can skip frying the wadis. Oddy Ecobake helps in easy demolding of the wadi. Ingredients

 

  • 10-12 garlic pods
  • 5-6 green chillies
  • Jeera 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4th tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Carrom seeds ½ tsp
  • asafoetida ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 cups
  • Gram flour ½ cup
  • Water as required
  • White sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  • Oddy Ecobake
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • In a mixer grind chillies, garlic and jeera. In a big bowl add chilli garlic paste, coriander leaves, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, crushed carrom seeds, asafoetida ad mix well.
  • Now add gram flour little by little and check the consistency of the dough. Add a little water. The purpose of water and gram flour is to only bind the mixture. Apply a little oil in hands and make cylindrical shapes as shown in video
  • In a steamer plate take Oddy Ecobake and place all the wadis. Oddy Ecobake is non-sticky and chlorine-free and hence a perfect option for baking food items. You can skip greasing the plate since Oddy Ecobake is grease-proof.
  • Stem the corainder wadis in steamer for 10-15 mins. Once done, transfer in a plate and let it cool completely. Cut it in pieces and fry the wadis in hot oil. You can either deep fry or shallow fry according to your preference.
  • You can keep the fried Coriander wadis in Oddy Uniwraps to keep it fresh and crisp for longer. Oddy Uniwraps also can be used to store these wadis.
