German Chocolate Cake

About the Recipe

Make this luscious German Chocolate cake made from pecan sauce made with a base of egg yolk and evaporated milk, grated coconut and pecans. Here we have used hazel nuts instead of pecans. The cake is rich, soft, and moist and tastes delicious. Using Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners, which are great for use in a baking pan because they are non-stick, non-toxic, and simple to clean after baking, the cake sponge is made flawlessly fluffy and spongy.

Directions

  • Mix the sifted dry ingredients into a mixing bowl, and mix them well. Beat eggs along with vanilla essence until foamy. Then add powdered sugar to it gradually and beat well.
  • Then beat it along with oil and hot milk. Now add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk well to make a smooth batter using the cut and fold method.
  • Line a 7-inch baking pan with Oddy Ecobake Non-Stick Liners. Shift the batter into it, spread it, and tap it well. Bake it for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius. The cake sponge is ready.
  • To make pecan sauce: Melt butter along with jaggery powder and milk; mix well until they combine, and then add an egg yolk to it and mix vigorously until it slightly thickens.
  • Also, add vanilla essence and grated coconut to it and mix well. Lastly, add crushed hazelnuts to it and thicken. Let it cool completely.
  • Beat whipping cream along with icing sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla essence until it forms fluffy peaks. Divide the cake sponge into three layers.
  • Spread cream on the cake board and place a layer of cake on it; soak with sugar syrup; and spread whipping cream and peach sauce on it. Repeat the process for other layers, too.
  • Cream coat the cake with whipping cream all over it and smooth using a spatula. Spread chocolate syrup on it and decorate it as you wish with chocolates and chocolate sticks, biscuits, and whipping cream. The tasty German chocolate cake is ready.
