Instant Crunchy and Crispy Chakli

About the Recipe

Make this crunchy and crispy instant chakli with flour when you have guests at home. The way we are going to prepare is going to be unique. The Uniwraps paper foil is used to make the concentric circles with chakli dough.

Ingredients

 

  • Flour-1/2 Kg & Moog Dal-1/4 cup
  • Oil - 4 tsp, Jeera-1 tbsp & Carom seed -1 tbsp
  • Turmeric-1/4 tbsp & Red Chilli-1 tbsp
  • White Sesame - 2 tbsp, Salt
  • Soda - 1 Pinch & Water as needed

Directions

 

  • Put 1/2 kg of flour in a handkerchief and tie it in a knot. Place the flour, wrapped in a napkin, in the cooker bowlot. Place the flour, wrapped in a napkin, in the cooker bowl. In another cooker bowl, add 1/4 cup washed moong dal and 1 glass of water.
  • Then put two glasses of water in the cooker and place the stand in it. First, put a bowl of mung dal in the cooker and put a bowl of maida on it. Make 4 whistles out of the cooker. After the cooker cools down, leave the flour in the napkin and break it. Grind the beaten flour in the mixer.
  • Sift the flour. Add 4 teaspoons of hot oil to the sifted flour and mix together with your hands. Now mix 1 spoon of cumin seeds, 1 tbsp carom seed, 1/4 tbsp of turmeric, salt to taste, 1 tbsp red chillies, 2 tbsp white sesame seeds, and a pinch of baking soda in the flour and mix it well with your hands.
  • Add the cooked dal to the flour and knead the dough. Knead the dough using the required water. Apply oil inside the chakali mold and fill it with kneaded dough. As shown in the video, prepare round chaklis on a piece of Uniwraps paper foil and drop them in hot oil.
  • After leaving the chakali in the hot oil, keep the gas on medium and fry the chakali. Our cripsy chakali is ready to eat.
