Ingredients

  • Oddy Ecobake
  • Semolina - 1 cup
  • Gram flour - ½ cup
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp
  • salt
  • water
  • Eno - 1 pouch
  • Oil
  • Cumin - ½ tsp
  • Mustard - ½ tsp
  • Green chillies - 5-6
  • Garlic
  • water
  • Coriander leaves chopped

Directions

  • Add 1 cup of semolina, ½ cup of gram flour, water as required and stir together. Keep the mixture for some time for the semolina to soak and swell in the mixture. Add ½ tsp turmeric, salt to taste, 2 tbsp oil, 1 eno pouch and 1 tbsp water and stir together.
  • Cover the steamer plate with Oddy Ecobake. Do not grease the Oddy Ecobake as it is grease-proof. Pour the dhokla batter and tap it nicely.
  • Sprinkle some chilli powder on top. Keep the steamer plate in a hot water pan for 10 minutes and cook the dhokla. After 10 minutes remove the steamer plate from the kadai and let the dhokla cool down. Once the dhokla is cool, cut it into the desired shapes.
  • Add 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and heat it. Add ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp cumin seeds, a lot of finely chopped garlic and 5-6 chopped chillies to the hot oil. Put the chopped dhokla in the prepared batter and stir together. Add coriander for decoration on top and your instant dhokla is ready.
