In Hindi, maize is referred to as “Makke.” Make your family this scrumptious and nutritious Makke Ki Roti for lunch or dinner. On a hot pan, the rotis are formed from maize flour, ghee, salt, and water. By utilizing Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles, the rotis are quickly and thinly rolled, which minimizes mess by keeping your hands clean and also allows you to make precisely round rotis.

Ingredients

 

  • Water-1 ½ cups & Ghee- ½ tsp
  • Salt-to taste & Maize flour-1 cup
  • Oil or ghee for greasing
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles

Directions

 

  • Heat water with ghee and salt in a pan and then add maize flour to it and mix thoroughly. Switch off flame, cover and let it rest for 7-8 minutes.
  • Transfer the dough to a plate and knead greasing your palms with ghee or oil until it becomes a soft dough.
  • Make small roundels from the dough. Dust with maize flour and roll it flat into thin rotis. Cut it perfectly round using a round lid or container.
  • Make all the rotis same way and set them aside. Make the rotis flat and thin in an easy way by pressing the roundels between Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles using a plate.
  • Cook the roti on a flat pan on both sides pressing using a ladle. Take it into a plate.
  • Also you can cook it like phulkas as cooking one side on the pan and other side on the flame directly. The tasty and healthy makke ki roti is ready. Serve it along with chane ki saag or sarson ke saag.
