Mango Burfi Without Milk

Burfi is a popular sweet made during festivals. Mango burfi is a seasonal, tropical twist on the traditional burfi. This recipe shows you how to make mango burfi without condensed milk, milk powder, or milk. The burfis are made in a perfect shape and do not need any greasing to set in a baking pan by using Oddy Ecobake Brown, which is ideal and safe to use for all your cooking and baking needs.

Ingredients

 

  • Ripe Mangoes-2 & Sugar-1/4 cup
  • Corn flour-1/2 cup & Water-1/2 cup
  • Ghee-2 tbsp & Orange food color (optional)-few drops
  • Chopped Almonds and Pistachios
  • Oddy Ecobake Brown

Directions

 

  • Wash, peel, and cut mangoes into small pieces. Blend it into a puree in a blender. Strain it using a strainer to get mango pulp.
  • Mix sugar, corn flour, and water in a pan until the sugar melts and no lumps are there. Now mix mango pulp into it.
  • Heat this mixture on a medium flame until it thickens, about 7–8 minutes. Then add ghee to it and keep stirring until it leaves the pan. You can add orange food colour as per your choice.
  • Line a square or rectangular baking tin with Oddy Ecobake Brown. Transfer the burfi mixture into it and tap well; spread evenly using a spoon greased with ghee.
  • Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until it sets well. Cut it into pieces after it has set well. The tasty mango burfi is ready.
