Methi Thepla

About the Recipe

“Methi Thepla” is made from fresh fenugreek leaves, wheat flour, gram flour, and spice powders. The thepla can be served for dinner or as snacks. They are packed in casseroles lined with Oddy Uniwraps, which are very convenient to use to keep the food safe and fresh for a long time.

Ingredients

 

  • Methi or fenugreek leaves & Whole wheat flour-2 cup
  • Gram flour-1/2 cup & Curd-2 tbsp
  • Carom seed-1 tsp & Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/4 tsp & Salt- to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste-1/2 tsp & Green chilli-1 to 2
  • Refined oil-2 tbsp , for greasing & Water
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Clean, wash, and chop methi leaves and keep aside.
  • Take wheat flour, gram flour, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, chopped methi and ginger-garlic paste on a wide plate and mix them together with water to make a soft dough.
  • Cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes. Pinch small balls from the dough and roll them into a flat thepla.
  • Cook it on both sides, greasing with oil or ghee, until brown spots appear. Take them to a plate lined with Oddy Uniwraps.
  • The methi thepla is ready. Pack it in a casserole lined with Oddy Uniwraps. If packing, wrap it and roll it up in Oddy Uniwraps. Serve it with your favorite curry.
