About the Recipe

Poha cutlet can be made in many variations with bread, corn, mixed vegetables and paneer. in this recipe post, poha or beaten rice is used as main ingredient which is later pan fried till golden crisp. it can be great appetizer for your next meet up or family party. Tikkis should be wrapped in Oddy Uniwraps to lock in moisture and keep them fresh for a long time.

Ingredients

 

  • Oddy Uniwraps
  • Poha 1 ½ cup
  • Water
  • 2 boiled potatoes shredded
  • Gram flour 4 tbsp
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Green chillies chopped
  • Chilli powder 1 tbps
  • Garam masala ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Jeera powder 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Coriander chopped
  • Salt as required

Directions

 

  • In a bowl wash poha and soak it for 5-7 min water. After a while the poha soaks all the water. Give it a nice mix and add boiled mashed potatoes. Bind these together nicely to form a nice mixture.
  • Add gram four, onion, green chillies, garam masala, coriander powder, jeera powder, lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves and salt.
  • Make into equal sized tikki shapes. Keep the tikkis in Oddy Uniwraps. Oddy Uniwraps is non-sticky and grease-proof, perfect for cooking purposes.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the poha cutlet on both sides till golden and crispy. Our Poha cutlet is ready and you can have it with chutney and sauce.
