Strawberry Tres Leches

About the Recipe

Tres Leches is a common dessert at bakeries and restaurants in Latin America. Delicious strawberry-flavored “Tres Leches” cake is made with condensed milk, strawberry puree, and milk blended with powdered sugar. By using the efficient, heat-resistant, and non-stick Oddy Ecobake Brown to line the cake pan, the cake is baked spongy and demolding it was quite simple.

Ingredients

  • Chopped strawberry-1 cup & Sugar-1/4 cup & Oil-1/8 cup
  • Condensed milk-1/8 cup & Powdered sugar-1/3 cup & Strawberry puree-1/8 cup + 2 tbsp
  • Milk-1/2 cup & All-purpose flour-3/4 cup & Baking powder-1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda-1/4 tsp & Milk-1/2 cup & Whip cream-2 tbsp + ¾ cup
  • Condensed milk-1 tbsp & Red food color
  • Oddy Ecobake Brown

Directions

  • Add the chopped strawberries to a pan with the sugar and cook for 5 minutes. Cool and churn for a minute to make the strawberry puree. You can refrigerate it in an airtight container.
  • Line a square baking pan with Oddy Ecobake Brown. Add oil, condensed milk, powdered sugar, and strawberry puree to a mixing bowl and whisk well.
  • Then add milk to it gradually and whisk well. Then add the sifted dry ingredients to it and mix well to form a smooth batter. You can add a few drops of red gel food coloring to it and mix well.
  • Transfer the batter to the baking pan, spread it out, and tap it well. Bake for 30 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius. Allow to cool completely before unmolding.
  • Mix milk, whipping cream, condensed milk, strawberry puree, and red food coloring. Trim the top layer of cake and poke holes in the cake. Then add the milk mixture and let it soak for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Beat whipping cream in a bowl until fluffy and add strawberry puree to it to make strawberry frosting.
  • Take the cake and frost it with strawberry frosting; spread it evenly and refrigerate for 2 hours. Trim the edges and cut it into six equal parts. The strawberry Tres Leches is ready.
