Street Style Momos with Cheese and Corn

Cheese corn momos are famous street food. This is a healthy recipe that can be made from corn, cheese, and herbs. This tastes good with momos chutney. The Oddy Ecobake perforated liners are used in the recipe to steam the momos without sticking and to cook evenly.

Ingredients

 

  • Maida-1 cup & Sweet corn- 1 cup
  • Onion – ½ cup & Garlic- 6 pods
  • Salt – to taste & Processed cheese- ½ cup
  • Mixed herbs -2 tsp & Crushed black pepper -1/2 tsp
  • Mayonnaise -1 tbsp & Tomato ketchup - 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Directions

 

  • Take maida in a bowl, add salt, water, knead well, and make a medium soft dough. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. Cook sweet corn with salt for 5 minutes, then finely chop it along with onion and garlic. Transfer it to a bowl.
  • Add grated cheese, salt, pepper, and crushed mixed herbs to it and mix well. The momos filling is ready. For momos chutney, combine mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, and red chilli powder with mixed herbs in a bowl and mix well. Knead again after 10 minutes.
  • Take a small ball of dough and roll it into a thin flat bread. Keep the stuffing and fold the momos as shown. Line the steamer plate with oddy Ecobake perforated liners and steam the momos for 12 minutes. The momos are ready. Serve hot with chutney.
