A super simple vanilla sponge cake is great for snacking or making layered cakes. This cake is easy to make, tastes amazing, and is fluffy and moist. Oddy Ecobake helps you get the perfect shape for your cake without greasing the mold, and there is no need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • 4 eggs & 1/2 Cup Powder sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil & 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3/4 cup maida & 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder & Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Take four eggs and separate the egg whites and yolks in two different bowls. Beat the egg whites with an electric beater or hand whisk until the whites turn fluffy.
  • Add sugar gradually to the egg whites and beat again. Add oil and vanilla essence to the egg yolks and beat them. Add the egg yolk mixture to the egg white mixture, and combine well.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the bowl through a sieve and mix well to prepare the cake batter. Transfer the cake batter to a cake mould lined with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Bake the cake for 35 to 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 170 °C. Once the cake is baked, demold the cake and remove the Oddy Ecobake. Your moist vanilla sponge cake is ready!
