Til Ki Chikki

Make this til ki chikki, which is prepared with roasted til seeds and combined to powdered, caramelized rock sugar, if you have a sweet tooth and also want to eat something healthful. Using Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles, which are suitable all cooking and baking purposes and are also food safe and reusable, the chikki are made nutritious and non-stick.

Ingredients

 

  • White Til seeds- ½ cup
  • Rock sugar or Mishri- ½ cup
  • Ghee- 1 tbsp
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles

Directions

 

  • Clean white til seeds and roast on a hot pan for 5 minutes until they turn aromatic on a low flame.
  • Grind rock sugar or Mishri to a fine powder and keep aside. Heat a pan, add a spoon of ghee and add the Mishri powder to it and stir until the Mishri melts well and caramelizes.
  • When it turns brown, add the roasted til seeds to it and stir well on a low flame.
  • Transfer it to a plate lined with Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circles. Press well and thin using a ladle and cut it into desired shape. Let it set for 5 minutes. The til chikki is ready.
