Traditional Gujarati Sukhdi

About the Recipe

Gol papdi, or sukhdi, is a popular Indian recipe made from wheat flour and jaggery. It is made especially for auspicious days or festivals. Oddy Ecobake is used to spread and set the sukhdi without the need for additional cleanup.

Ingredients

 

  • 2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1.5 cup ghee
  • 1.5 cup jaggery
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Heat ghee in a pan and add wheat flour to it. Mix them well until the raw smell of wheat flour is gone.
  • Add the remaining ghee gradually and keep stirring. Add jaggery to the wheat flour and ghee mixture.
  • Let everything combine well. Once everything is together, transfer the mixture to a mould lined with Oddy Ecobake.
  • Spread the sukhdi well and let it rest for a while. Cut the sukhdi into small pieces and enjoy!
