Turkish Pride with Paneer

About the Recipe

Turkish pide is an oval-shaped flat bread with vegetables and cheese stuffed inside. The recipe shows how to make it at home using paneer. You can use minced meat if preferred. The Oddy Uniwraps paper is used to pack them to keep them fresh.

Ingredients

 

  • Dry yeast-2 tsp & Maida-3 cups
  • Salt – to taste, Oil & Italian seasoning-1 tsp
  • Chili flakes-1 tsp & Cumin powder-1 tsp
  • Spring onion-2 & Tomato ketchup-2 tbsp
  • Paneer-1 cup & Red chili powder-1 tsp
  • Egg-1/2, Onion -1 & Tomato-1
  • Garlic – 6pods & Coriander leaves

Directions

 

  • Activate yeast. Add maida, salt, and oil, and mix well to prepare the dough. Allow the dough to rise well. Chop vegetables for filling.
  • Add cumin powder, red chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, spring onions, tomato ketchup, salt, and red chilli powder to the vegetables, and add shredded paneer to it. This is the filling.
  • When the dough is raised, divide it into six portions and roll it into long flat breads. Line the breads, apply oil, and spread the filling onto the breads. Fold as shown.
  • Brush the egg on to the breads and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. Slice it and wrap them in oddy uniwraps to keep them fresh.
