Aloo Stuffed Atta Patties

About the Recipe

Crispy patties can be stuffed with veggies of your choice, such as potatoes. A pleasant and wholesome food that can be prepared for any occasion is a patty. To make them even healthier, we have used wheat flour in place of all-purpose flour in this recipe. In Hindi, “atta” refers to wheat flour and “aloo” refers to potatoes. Ingredients

 

  • Wheat flour-1 ¼ cup & Salt-to taste & Ghee-1 tbsp
  • Carom seeds & Potato & Cumin
  • Mustard seeds & Green chili & Curry leaves
  • Red chili powder & Coriander powder & Turmeric powder
  • Kitchen king masala & Aamchur or Dry mango powder & Oil
  • Oddy Uniwraps Brown

Directions

 

  • Take sifted wheat flour in a mixing bowl, add salt, ghee, and carom seeds to it, and crumble well. Add water gradually, knead to form a soft dough, and let it rest.
  • Grate the potatoes and keep them aside. Heat oil in a pan, let mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves sputter, then add green chilies and chopped onions, asafoetida, turmeric powder, Kitchen King masala, red chilli powder, and coriander powder to it and stir well.
  • Then add grated potatoes to it and fry until they combine, adding salt to it. Switch off the flame, add the aamchur powder, and mix well to make the potato filling. Let it cool.
  • Knead the dough, pinch small balls, and roll it flat on a rolling board. Grease oil on it and dust flour on the flat dough, then fold as shown, greasing with ghee on each fold.
  • Roll it as shown and cut it into two. Press it with your fingers and roll it flat as shown. Fold it, grease it with oil, and dust it with flour on each fold. Then roll it as shown. Roll it flat again and fill it with potato filling in the center.
  • Fold the sides and pleat the edges slowly, gather, and press gently to form patties. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties on both sides until they become brown and crisp.
  • The aloo stuffed atta patties are ready to serve. Serve it with garlic chutney. Pack and wrap it in Oddy Uniwraps Brown to pack it for your kid’s lunch box.
