Delicious And Healthy Methi Paratha

 

About the Recipe

Indian flatbread called methi paratha is created using fenugreek leaves, herbs, spices, and wheat flour. Due to the iron content of methi leaves, it is considered as one of the healthiest meals. Ingredients

 

  • Methi or fenugreek leaves & Cumin & Oil
  • Onion-1 & Green chilies- 4 to 5 & Ginger- 6 to 7 pods
  • Garlic-1/2 inch & Wheat flour-3 to 4 cups & Salt- to taste
  • Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp & Coriander powder-1/4 tsp & Chaat masala-1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp & Gram flour-2 tbsp
  • Dry mango powder (aamchur)-1/2 tsp & Oil & Ghee
  • Oddy Uniwraps Brown

Directions

 

  • Heat oil in a pan, let cumin splutter, and add cleaned and chopped methi leaves to it. Stir until they fry well, then let it cool.
  • Chop onions, garlic, green chilies, and ginger. Take sifted wheat flour on a plate and add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, and gram flour to it.
  • Also add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, green chilies, dry mango powder, and fried methi to it, and crumble well with ghee or oil.
  • Knead it into a soft dough, adding water gradually. Grease it with oil, knead it, and let it rest for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Pinch small balls of dough and roll them flat on a board dusted with flour. Grease oil on the flat dough and fold it as shown, then roll it flat again.
  • Heat a flat pan and cook the methi paratha on both sides, pouring oil on all sides. Cook until it's well done on both sides.
  • Serve it with curd, pickle, or chutney of your choice. It tastes delicious when served with a spoonful of ghee or butter on it. Pack it in Oddy Uniwraps Brown.
