About the Recipe

A common Indian crepe prepared with rice flour is called a dosa. Wheat flour, herbs, and spices are combined to make a batter for wheat dosa, which is then fried on a hot flat pan. This recipe demonstrates how to prepare wheat dosa using just two ingredients: boiled potatoes and wheat flour. For the lunch box, the dosa is wrapped in heat-resistant and grease-proof Oddy Uniwraps Brown. It can be reusable multiple times.

Ingredients

 

  • Whole wheat flour-1 cup & Salt-to taste & Water
  • Boiled potato-1 & Green chillies-2 & Coriander leaves
  • Onion-1 & Oil-2 tbsp & Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin-1/2 tsp & Bengal gram-1/2 tsp & Asafoetida-a pinch
  • Curry leaves-few & Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • Oddy Uniwraps Brown

Directions

 

  • Take wheat flour in a mixing bowl, add salt to taste, and mix it with water gradually to make a smooth batter.
  • Then add the grated potato to it and whisk well. Keep it aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, add the chopped onion, green chilies, and chopped coriander leaves to it and mix well. Add water to make the batter smooth.
  • Heat oil in a pan, let mustard splutter, then add cumin, Bengal gram, curry leaves, and asafoetida and fry well.
  • Now add this tempering to the batter and mix well. Add turmeric powder to it and mix. Heat a flat pan, pour the batter, cook for 30 seconds, flip the other side, and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Pour oil on the sides and cook. The whole wheat dosa is ready. Pack it in Oddy Uniwraps Brown for your lunch box. Serve it with your favourite side dish or pickle.
