Bangda Fish Fry

Try this delicious Bangda fish fry made with authentic malvani masala and sealed with turmeric leaves and cooked with perfection. Kokam surup adds a little tangy flavor to the fish. Healthy and a unique flavor of turmeric leaves is surely going to win your heart. Oddy Ecobake helps in easy cooking of the fish on pan.

Ingredients

 

  • 4 bangada fish
  • 3 tbsp Malvani Masala
  • 1/2 cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 3 tbsp kokum agal / Kokam Ras
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 2-4 turmeric leaves
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Wash bangda fish nice and clean, and slit on both sides as shown in video.
  • In a plate add chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, malvani masala, kokam syrup, ginger garlic paste, mix well and apply nicely on fish. Add masala inside the slit areas of the fish as well. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
  • Remove after 1 hour. Take turmeric leaves and place the fish. Wrap the fish with turmeric leaf and then roll it with Oddy Ecobake nicely. Do the same process for the remaining fish as well. Oddy Ecobake can be used to cook food on pan, microwave, air fryer and tawa.
  • Keep a frying pan on stove and do not add any oil. Place our fish and cover it with a lid. Cook on medium flame for 5 mins, after 5 mins just rotate the fish and again cook for another 5 mins covered with a lid.
  • Remove from heat and check if the fish is cooked by removing Oddy Ecobake and turmeric leaf. Fish will be cooked nicely with delicious flavor. Our bangda fish fry is ready.
