Bottle Gourd Thalipeeth is a famous Maharashtrian breakfast recipe. Apart from being nutritious, it can be prepared easily at home. This lip-smacking recipe will  satiate your soul as well. So, go ahead and try making this lip-smacking dish with Oddy Brown Ecobake Cooking Paper which doesn’t need any greasing and there is no need of cleaning afterwards.

Ingredients

 

  • 2.5 cup Multigrain atta (thalipeeth atta)
  • 250 gram Bottle Gourd
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 tsp garlic chilli
  • 1 cup coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin and coriander
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala and 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds and salt to taste

Directions

 

  • Take 2.5 cup Multigrain atta (thalipeeth atta) in a bowl. Now add 1 cup diced onion 2 tsp garlic chilli, 1 cup coriander and grated bottle gourd.
  • Add all the spices to the mixture: 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp cumin and coriander, 1/4 tsp garam masala and 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1 tsp sesame seeds and salt to taste.
  • Mix all of it well before adding water. Then knead the dough and divide it into equal portions of balls.
  • To make thalipeeth, we will use Oddy Brown Ecobake cooking paper.
  • Apply water on an Ecobake sheet and spread the dough using your hands.
  • Make 4 small holes in the prepared dough. Remove the Oddy Ecobake sheet and put the thalipeeth on a nonstick pan and roast it on low to medium flame.
  • Use ghee or oil to cook it well. Flip and roast it from both sides.
  • Serve it with dahi and chutney!
