Crispy Dry Prawns Chutney

About the Recipe

Crispy and tasty baby Prawns Chutney/ thecha. It is a nice food option for tiffins while traveling, just as a side dish with chapati or rice. For preparation of the chutney, after roasting it place it in Oddy Ecobake Brown. It will save the prawns’ fragrance from spreading on the vessel or plate. Oddy Ecobake is made from organic ingredients and is safe and healthy to use.

Ingredients

 

  • 2 cups dry baby prawns
  • 3 small pieces of dry coconut
  • 6 green chillis, 10 garlic pods, 1/2 sp cumin seeds
  • salt, oil, Oddy Ecobake Brown

Directions

 

  • Clean the dried baby prawns. Soak them in a bowl with water for 10 mins. Drain and squeeze the water and keep aside for use.
  • Heat 2 tsp oil on a tava and fry till crispy and color changes to brown. Keep the flame low while frying.
  • Once done, remove in a plate and keep aside. Now roast chilli, coconut and garlic together.
  • After it's roasted, put them in a hand motar pestle along with cumin seeds and salt as required. Crush it finely.
  • Now on same tava, take little oil and saute the crushed masala for 30 seconds. Now add the roasted dry prawns into the masala and mix well.
  • Mix it its nicely coated with the masala. Once done, cool it, store it in air tight container. It can be stored for 15 days.
