Delicious Peanut Barfi

About the Recipe

A twist to regular barfi with the taste of roasted peanuts, easy to make and also healthier. The barfi mixture can be easily removed in Oddy Ecobake baking and cooking paper since it is non sticky and grease proof. This helps in hassle free cooking of Peanut Barfi.

Ingredients

 

  • Peanut – 1 cup
  • Milk 1 and ½ cup
  • Milk powder 1/3rd cup
  • Sugar 1/4th cup
  • Vanilla essence – 4 drops
  • Silver vark
  • Pista
  • Cherry

Directions

 

  • Take 1 cup peanuts and roast it well. And let it cool in a table cloth. When cooled just roll the cloth in between your palms and its skin will be removed.
  • In a saucepan add milk then roasted peanuts. Let it cook till the milk boils once. Then switch off the gas and let the mixture cool completely.
  • Put it in the mixer jar and make a paste. Add some more milk and grind it again to make a fine paste. Add it in a saucepan and add milk powder and sugar. Just keep on stirring the dish. The dish will get thick in a few minutes.
  • Add vanilla essence for flavor. And once the mixture is thick like the form of a dough, remove from heat.
  • Remove the barfi mixture in a glass dish and place Oddy Ecobake baking and cooking paper. Oddy Ecobake will ensure the barfi mixture will not stick to the dish and is grease-proof. This will make your cooking a hassle-free experience.
  • Pat the mixture evenly with a spatula coated with oil. Once done let it cool in the refrigerator. Cut it into pieces and enjoy the sweet dish. Garnish with silver vark, pista and cheery.
