About the Recipe

This recipe demonstrates how to make a vanilla cake using pantry ingredients and decorating it to look like a designer cake, all at home. It is rich in vanilla flavor with a tender, moist crumb, and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. Here, Oddy Ecobake is used to make a soft and spongy cake. Oddy Ecobake eliminates the need to grease or oil the pans before baking and cuts down on cleaning time and cost.

Ingredients

 

  • Oddy Ecobake
  • Vanilla Cake premix 200 gms
  • Water 3/4th cup
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Mixed fruit essence 1 tsp
  • Whipping cream
  • Pineapple crush
  • Sky blue gel food color
  • Silver sugar balls

Directions

 

  • In a bowl mix premix, water, oil and mixed fruit essence, whisk well. Make sure the batter is lump free. Line a baking tin with Oddy Ecobake. Oddy Ecobake helps in easy demolding of the cake.
  • Pour the cake batter in it and tap to remove any air bubbles in it. Pre heat the oven for 10 mins and bake the cake at 160 degrees for 40 mins. Take chilled whipping cream in bowl and beat till stiff peaks are formed. Demold the cake once cooled and cut into 3 layers.
  • Assemble the first layer of cake on the cake board. Add pineapple crush in some water to make a syrup. Soak the cake with pineapple syrup. Apply whipping cream, add pineapple crush and blend well.
  • Repeat the same for the second layer. Then add third layer of cake and crumb coat the cake. In a bowl mix whipping cream and sky-blue gel food color. Transfer the whipping cream in rose petal nozzle piping bag and make design as shown.
  • Add flowers designs for decorating the cake, add detailing like leaves and border for the cake. Add silver sugar balls for the final finishing. Our designer cake is ready.
