Easiest way to make Crispy Sweet Mathri

About the Recipe

Mathri is a Rajasthani snack made from flour and jaggery. This is a snack that can be stored for a few days at room temperature. It is mostly preferred as a snack during travel. Oddy Uniwraps is used to lock oil in the mathri from entering the plate.

Ingredients

 

  • Jaggery -1/2 cup
  • Water
  • Atta/ wheat flour -1/2 cup
  • Maida-2 cups
  • Ghee-1/2 cup
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Boil jaggery, adding half a cup of water, in a vessel until it melts completely. Filter it. Take wheat flour or atta, 1 cup maida, and ghee in a bowl and mix them with jaggery syrup.
  • Mix with 1 cup of maida and knead well. Make them into small-sized biscuits as shown. You can use any of the 3 methods to make your biscuits.
  • Deep fry them in hot oil and take them into a bowl spread with Oddy uniwraps to lock oil in the mathri from entering the plate and keep them fresh and crispy for a long time. The crispy mathari is ready.
