Fried Sooji Balls

About the Recipe

This is a simple recipe that will turn out crispy and nice and will be liked by everyone in your family. They are crispy on the outside with tasty vegetables filling the inside. It can be made from the simple ingredients available in your kitchen. Use Oddy Uniwraps, which are non-sticky and safe to use, to remove excess oil from the fried sooji balls and to pack them in it if needed.

Ingredients

 

  • Water -2 cups & Salt -1/4 tsp & Oil-1/2 tsp
  • Sooji/ Rava-1 cup & Grated Carrot & Potatoes-3
  • Chopped Onions -2 & Garam masala & Chaat masala
  • Turmeric powder & Chilli powder & Salt & Coriander powder
  • Dry mango or aamchur powder & Chopped green chili & Oil- for frying
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Add water, salt, and oil to the pan together, then add the rava to it and mix. Cook them on a low flame until they form a dough.
  • Switch off the flame and let it cool. Boil and peel potatoes. Grease your palms with oil and knead the dough to make it soft.
  • Take grated carrot, mashed potatoes, chopped onions, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, chat masala, aamchur powder, garam masala, and coriander leaves in a bowl and mix well.
  • Make them into small balls. Knead the dough again by applying oil to your palms. Make them into balls and roll them flat, pressing them between the fingers. Fill with stuffing balls and make them into round balls.
  • Fry them in hot oil until they turn golden brown. Take them to a plate lined with Oddy Uniwraps to remove excess oil. Pack them in a container lined with Oddy Uniwraps to keep them fresh for a long time.
