Gulkand Mawa Burfi

Today we are going to learn the recipe for Gulkand Mawa Burfi. It is one of the traditional Indian sweets that we can make during festivals and also offer to God. Ingredients

 

  • 3 tsp Ghee & 1 Cup Milk Mawa/Unsweetened Khoya
  • 1 Cup Fresh Rose Petals & 1 tbsp Homemade Gulkand
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar Syrup/Chashni (1.5 String Consistency)
  • As required Chopped Fresh Rose Petals (For Garnishing)
  • Oddy Ecobake

Directions

 

  • Heat ghee in a pan and add milk mawa to it. Cook the mawa in the ghee for 4 to 5 minutes, and then add fresh rose petals.
  • Once the rose petals are cooked, add the gulkand to them and give them a good mix. Add sugar syrup, or 1/3 to 1/2 Cup sugar, to the mixture and mix them together.
  • Switch off the stove once the mixture starts leaving the pan. Take a tray lined with Oddy Ecobake and transfer the mawa gulkand mixture once it reaches room temperature.
  • Let it set for a while. Once the sweet is set, cut it into small pieces as shown. Your Gulkand Mawa Burfi is ready!
