Healthy Breakfast Thatte Idli

About the Recipe

Idli is one of the most common breakfast dishes in Indian households. Idli is made from rice and urad dal. Idli is the healthiest breakfast and can be made within 10 minutes if you have batter at home. It is usually served with chutney, sambhar, and chutney podi. The Oddy Ecobake paper is used in the recipe to make soft idlis that do not stick to the steamer plate.

Ingredients

 

  • Idli rice-4 cups
  • Urad dal-1 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds-1 tsp
  • Sabudana-1/2 cup

Directions

 

  • Soak rice, urad dal, fenugreek seeds, and sabudana separately for 8 hours or overnight. Grind everything and make batter, adding raw salt, and let it ferment for 10 hours.
  • Line the idli steam plate with oddy Ecobake paper cut into circles and pour batter in it. You can also apply oil to the steamer plate. Steam in a steamer for 7 minutes.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes, then flip it. The thatte idli is ready. Serve them as chutney podi thatte idli by applying a lavish amount of butter and sprinkling chutney podi lavishly.
