Healthy Mixed Nuts Chikki

Make this mixed nuts chikki for your children, which combines a variety of dry fruits and seeds with melted jaggery to make a tasty snack. Ingredients

 

  • Peanuts- ½ cup & Cashews, Almonds- ¼ cup
  • Fried grams- ¼ cup & Sunflower seeds -1.5 tbsp
  • Melon seeds -1.5 tbsp & Pumpkin seeds-1.5 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds- ¼ cup & Jaggery-1.5 cup
  • Pistachios- for garnish & Ghee
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Dry roast the peanuts in a pan until they turn crisp, about 3 minutes. Dry roast cashews, almonds, and fried grams for 3 minutes on a low flame.
  • Then add sunflower seeds, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds to it and stir-fry until they turn crispy and aromatic.
  • Transfer them to a clean cloth to let them cool for some time. Remove the skin of the roasted peanuts. Coarsely grind it and add it to the other roasted nuts and seeds.
  • Melt jaggery in a pan until it melts completely and forms a ball consistency. Then add a pinch of soda and the roasted seeds and nuts to it and stir until they combine well.
  • Grease a plate with ghee and transfer this mixture to the plate. Garnish with pistachios and roll it flat and thin.
  • Cut it into pieces as per your wish. Let it cool completely. Store it in an airtight container lined with Oddy Uniwraps.
