Lauki Ka Dhokla

About the Recipe

Bottle gourd, rava, and besan are used to make the delightful and nutrient-dense dish known as lauki ka dhokla. When accompanied by a side of raita or yogurt, they create a satisfying and delectable breakfast. You can steam the lauki dhokla without greasing the mold with the aid of Oddy Ecobake. Therefore, no cleanup is required.

Ingredients

 

  • Grated bottle gourd - 1 cup & Rava - 3/4 cup
  • Besan - 1/4 cup & Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Crushed ginger and green chilli - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp & Salt - 1 tsp & Paratha dough
  • Curd - 3 tbsp, Water as needed & Coriander leaves
  • Oil - 1 tbsp, sugar - 1 tbsp & Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
  • Carom seeds - 1/2 tsp, Fruit salt - 1 tsp & Olive oil
  • Mustard seeds, Curry leaves & White sesame seeds

Directions

 

  • Mix all the masalas with grated lauki to prepare the dhokla batter. Add the fruit, salt, and water to the batter and mix well. Add caraway seeds to it and mix well.
  • Transfer the batter to a cake mould lined with Oddy Ecobake. Steam the dhokla in a kadai with boiling water. Once the dhokla is baked and cooled, demold it and cut it into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan; add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and white sesame seeds to it. Add the dhokla pieces to it and saute well. Your lauki ka dhokla is ready!
