Low Budget Dutch Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

 

  • Cake premix - 160 gm, Oil - 2 tbsp & Water - 1/2 cup
  • Oddy Ecobake Cooking Paper Circle, Whipped cream - 3/4, Sugar syrup
  • Pink and green cream, Dark chocolate - 90 gm
  • Cream - 1/4 cup & Grated dark chocolate

Directions

 

  • Prepare the cake batter by mixing the cake premix with water and oil. Once the lump-free batter is ready, transfer it to a mould lined with Oddy Ecobake. Bake the cake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 163 degrees C.
  • Once the cake is baked and cooled, trim the top of the cake and divide it into three equal parts. To make chocolate ganache, melt chopped dark chocolate and cream in a double boiler.
  • Add half of the chocolate ganache to the whipped cream and beat well to make chocolate frosting. Place the first layer of the cake, soak it with chocolate sugar syrup, and apply whipped cream to it.
  • Apply chocolate ganache over the whipped cream. Place another cake layer on top of it, and repeat the same process for the remaining cake layers. Crumb-coat the cake and then frost the cake completely with the remaining whipped cream.
  • Place a tumbler in the centre of the cake and pour chocolate ganache over the cake. Make drips at the ends of the cake. Make small flowers at the circular marking in the centre using pink cream and a star-shaped nozzle.
  • Make leaf designs besides the roses with green cream using the leaf nozzle; decorate the cake with chopped dark chocolate; and place the "Happy Birthday" tag on it. Your Dutch chocolate cake is ready!
