Mango Custard Jar Cake

About the Recipe

The king of fruits with a tantalizing taste of custard finding its way into a Jar. A heavenly jar cake layered with chocolate sponge, custard cream and mango bites will fill your sweet cravings. Follow the recipe if you have a sweet tooth and use Oddy Ecobake brown baking and cooking paper for baking the cake if you’re health conscious. Oddy Ecobake is eco-friendly, reusable and can be used to bake upto 220 degree Celsius.

Ingredients

 

  • 100 grm chocolate cake premix
  • 50 grm water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4th cup room temperature milk
  • 2 tbsp mango custard powder
  • 2 tbsp mango custard powder
  • 3/4th cup milk
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup whipping cream

Directions

 

  • Add cake premix and water in a bowl and mix well. Line a baking tin with Oddy Ecobake brown baking and cooking paper. Oddy Ecobake is grease-proof and makes your process of baking easy. Add the cake batter, bake for 180 degrees for 15-20 mins
  • In a bowl mix 1/4th cup milk and custard powder together and keep aside. In a sauce pan heat milk and sugar and mix well. Add the custard mixture once the milk boils. Once the milk starts to thicken mix well to avoid lumps and switch off the gas. Let the mixture cool.
  • In a separate bowl, add whipping cream and with the help of the beater beat till it softens. Add the custard mixture and whisk again with the beater. Remove the chocolate cake and cut it into slices as per your required thickness. Make sure the size you cut matches with your serving jar.
  • Take the jar and add one slice of chocolate cake and a layer of custard cream, then add chopped mango pieces on top of it. Again, add the chocolate cake slice and custard cream, add a few chopped mango pieces. Repeat the process till you fill the jar.
  • Decorate the cake on top with making small star designs with the help of N1 number nozzle. Add sprinkles on top and our mouth-watering Mango Custard Jar Cake is ready.
