Milk Chocolate pastry

About the Recipe

If you are a fan of milk chocolates, then I have a perfect pastry for you. Make with milk chocolate and a creamy milky frosting. This cake is mild on chocolate but rich in taste and texture. Use Oddy Ecobake for baking the cake.

Ingredients

 

  • Oddy Ecobake
  • 3/4 Cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 Tsp baking soda
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 Cup oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/2 Cup whip cream
  • 1/4 Cup melted chocolate
  • 1/2 Cup milk chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp hot whip cream

Directions

 

  • Take whole wheat flour in a pan. Roast at low flame for 5 mins. In a bowl sieve roasted wheat flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and mix well. Add oil, lemon juice and gradually add milk and mix well. Make a smooth batter. Transfer into greased mold.
  • Place wire stand, cover lid and pre-heat at low flame for 5 mins. Place mold for baking. Cover and bake at low flame for 20 mins or pre-heat oven at 180 degrees for 15 mins. Remove from heat after 20 mins.
  • In a bowl whip cream, whisk until stiff peak forms. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Whisk again, chocolate frosting ready. Demold the cake when cooled completely. Remove upper layer and even cake sponge. Slice into two halves. For assembling, place one layer on cake board and apply sugar syrup.
  • Apply sugar frosting, spread uniformly. Add second sponge layer, apply sugar syrup and repeat process. Place third sponge layer, apply frosting on all sides. Refrigerate for 20 mins.
  • In a bowl add milk chocolate and hot whip cream, mix well. Ganache is ready. Pour on top of the cake and spread evenly. Slice into three pieces. Apply ganache on sides. Decorate by making flowers with piping bag. Milk chocolate pastry ready.
