Mix Dal Dhirde

About the Recipe

Create the nutritious mix dal dhirde for your family by soaking rice and lentils for a few hours. Create a batter out of it, and then use it to make pancakes that satisfy all of your diet’s nutritional requirements. Baking soda can be added to the mixture after it has been ground, or you can wait a few hours to let it ferment if you’d prefer. Ingredients

 

  • Basmati rice or any rice- 1 cup & Chickpeas- ½ cup
  • Yellow lentils- ½ cup & Legume- ¼ cup &
  • Red lentils- ¼ cup Green chilli paste- 2 tsp &
  • Green chilli paste- 2 tsp & Ginger paste- ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder-1 tsp & Cumin powder- 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida-1/4 tsp & Chopped curry leaves
  • Fresh grated coconut-3 tsp & Salt
  • Baking powder- ½ tsp & Oil
  • Oddy Uniwraps

Directions

 

  • Wash well and soak rice and lentils together for a few hours. Grind them to a coarse batter after soaking.
  • Transfer to a mixing bowl, add the spice powders, ginger chilli paste, asafoetida, curry leaves, fresh grated coconut, and salt, and mix well without lumps.
  • . Let it rest for a few hours. You can add baking soda if you prefer to make the dosa immediately. Grease the pan with oil and make dosa on the hot pan.
  • Cover it with a lid and cook by flipping on both sides until it cooks well. Serve hot mix dal dhirde on a plate lined with Oddy Uniwraps.
  • You can pack it in your lunch box, wrapped in Oddy Uniwraps. The mixed dal dhirde tastes best with kairi chutney.
