Peas Potato kurma

About the Recipe

Make a delicious peas and potato kurma with fresh peas if you have accessibility to them during winter months. The flavour of fresh peas kurma is preferable than that of frozen kurma. The kurma is served with rice, poori, or chapatis. Even when packed for a lunch box, the chapati retains its freshness and flavour much like newly prepared ones when wrapped in Oddy Uniwraps Brown.

Ingredients

 

  • Oil-2 tbsp & Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp & Red chilies- 2
  • Curry leaves-2 stems & Onions-1 (Chopped) & Ginger garlic paste-1/2 tsp
  • Fresh peas-1/2 cup & Tomato-2 (Chopped) & Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp & Salt-to taste & Coconut-1/4 cup
  • Cinnamon stick-1 inch & Poppy seeds-1 tbsp
  • Green chilli-2 & Boiled potato-2 & Fresh coriander leaves
  • Oddy Uniwraps Brown

Directions

 

  • Heat oil in a pan, add fennel seeds, dry chilies, curry leaves, onions, ginger garlic paste into it and stir well.
  • Then add fresh peas, chopped tomatoes to it and stir well until it becomes mushy. Then add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt to it and stir until the raw flavor goes off. Cook it on low flame.
  • Grind together coconut, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, green chilli, and cinnamon stick into a fine paste.
  • Then add this paste to the gravy. Add water to adjust consistency and let it cook until peas cooked well.
  • Then add boiled potatoes to it and add water to adjust consistency. Let the gravy boil for 5 minutes on a low flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. The tasty peas potato kurma is ready. Serve it with Chapati, poori or rice.
  • Wrap the chapati in Oddy Uniwraps Brown to keep them fresh and warm for a long time and can be packed for lunch box.
