Perfect Karachi Halwa recipe

About the Recipe

Karachi halwa is not your everyday sweet, so best to make during festive occasions or special occasions. It is super soft and super delicious halwa. Uniwraps paper foil helps in storing it for longer intervals and also for keeping in freezer.

Ingredients

 

  • Corn Flour - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Ghee - half a cup
  • Lemon juice - half teaspoon
  • Red rose emulsion
  • Dry fruit

Directions

 

  • First of all, mix 1 cup of cornflour and 2 cups of water in a pot until very thin.
  • Add the prepared cornflour mixture to the sugar syrup and reduce the heat and cook the mixture for 10-12 minutes.
  • After the mixture thickens, keep adding half a cup of ghee little by little.
  • After mixing the colors, add the pulp, dry fruits and take out your halwa in a wide vessel and line it with Oddy Uniwraps paper foil.
  • Let it cool down and keep in the freezer for about 2 hours.
  • Cut Karachi halwa into the size you want to eat.
