Kaju Katli – a popular Indian sweet is made with powdered cashew and sugar syrup. It is perhaps one of the most popular Indian sweet recipes which is made for all the celebrations, occasions and festival seasons. It is a simple and easy sweet snack recipe made with only 2 ingredients, but still can be difficult to make.

Ingredients

 

  • Cashews- 250gm / 2 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Sugar- 230gm / 1 Cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Silver foil

Directions

 

  • Wash the cashews (2 cups ) using lukewarm water, then grind the cashews to a fine paste using a little water (1 cup).
  • Add Cashew paste and sugar (1 cup) in a nonstick pan. Cook on low to medium flame for 35 minutes.
  • After that, add 2 spoons of ghee to the cooked mixture and turn off the gas and stir the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Then spread the mixture on Oddy Ecobake cooking and baking paper. After about 20 minutes, roll the mixture and keep it covered with Oddy paper/plate for 30 minutes.
  • Then you can cut kaju katli and cover it with silver foil. Mouthwatering Kaju Katli is ready to serve!
