Poha Burfi Recipe

About the Recipe

Sweet and delicious Poha Burfi is made with easily available ingredients at home. Usually, we make dudh poha on the auspicious day of Sharad Purnima. While setting it on a tin, place Oddy Uniwrap for easy and nonsticky removal. It is nongreasy, eco-friendly, and safe to use.

Ingredients

 

  • 2 Cup Flattened Rice/Poha
  • 3 tsp Ghee & 2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Small Packet or 36 grams Milk Powder
  • 1 1/2 Cup Sugar & 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • As required Almond Pistachio Slivers (For Garnishing)

Directions

 

  • In a mixing bowl, take 2 cups flattened rice/poha. Add required water and soak it. Keep it aside for 10 mins. After 10 mins, drain the water.
  • Take 3 cups of water (at room temperature). Add milk powder in milk. Dissolve it properly. Mash poha with hand.
  • Heat 2 tsp ghee in pan. Add soaked poha. Cook it on a low to medium flame.
  • After 5 mins, add prepared milk. Cook untill milk gets soaked. Mixture gets separated.
  • Add 1+1/2 cup of sugar. Cook untill sugar melts. Add 1/4 tsp caradamon powder and 1 tsp ghee.
  • Cook untill mixture gets separate. Turn off the flame, let it cool. Place Oddy Uniwrap in tin plate and grease it.
  • Transfer the mixture ans set it. Garnish with chopped dryfruits. Put it in fridge for 3 hours. Cut it into equal shape.
